Amanda Nunes Wants Rematch With Cat Zingano

Last night in Brazil, womens bantamweight fighter Amanda Nunes dismantled Shayna Baszler en route to a TKO stoppage due to leg kick in the first round.

After the impressive performance Nunes said she would like to get revenge for her only loss and fight Cat Zingano a second time. Here’s what she had to say at the UFC Fight Night 62 post-fight press conference.

“I’d really like to fight Cat again. That night, it wasn’t me who was in there. And who knows, maybe another opportunity, a rematch against her, it would be very good.”

“I had some personal problems during my last fights, and I couldn’t concentrate. I am really happy to see everything changed. I am now part of American Top Team, and things could not have started any better.”

What do you guys think, does Nunes and Zingano make sense and could either of them really challenge Rousey? We’ve seen Zingano ‘fight’ the champion and it didn’t go her way at all. The fight for second best is really competitive in the division right now, with Eye vs. Tate coming up and now this potential fight.
