The Regie des alcools des courses et des jeux (Quebec’s athletic commission) said that drug tests for UFC 158 came back clean.
A total of six competitors were tested, QAC rep Joyce Tremblay wrote in an email to MMAjunkie.com. The substances tested for are confidential, she said.
In UFC 158’s main event, welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre controlled Nick Diaz over five rounds to retain his title with a unanimous decision win.
Diaz, has been suspended twice for marijuana and at a pre-fight press conference for UFC 158 hinted that another negative test could have been on the horizon.
“I’m sorry if I don’t pass the test, but I think it should work out,” he said. “I’ve passed plenty of them before, unless they just weren’t testing me. I wonder how much they test people around here.”
UFC President Dana White said he would probably cut Diaz with a positive test.
In interviews leading up to the fight, Diaz had hinted at the possibility of GSP using steroids.Tags: georges st. pierre, MMA NEWS, Nick Diaz, UFC 158, ufc news
