Al Iaquinta

At UFC Fight Night 63 Al Iaquinta won via controversial decision against Jorge Masvidal. The fight as been the topic of a lot of conversations, some say Masvidal should have got the nod because of a dominate first round and two close rounds after, while others say Masvidal just coasted through the final two rounds while Iaquinta pushed the pace and stayed more active.

The hosts of Stud Show Radio (formerly Team Alpha Male Radio), Justin Buchholz and Chris Carlino aka Sir Studboy discussed the fight and gave their thoughts on who should have won. Check it out, here’s what Buchholz had to say.

“Masvidal hurt him in the first round, dropped him, and then cut his eye open bad. He was bleeding bad.”

“So Masvidal cuts Al, Al’s bleeding like a stuffed pig, why wouldn’t he take him down and put him on his back and let that blood go in his eyes.”

“So I think that kind of damage is a 10-8 round.”

“Masvidal kind of just cruised after that and Al won the second and then he won the third big because Al was very aggressive. Now, was it affective aggression or was it just being aggressive? Masvidal says it was just being aggressive and if he swings at air it shouldn’t count.”

Agreeing with Carlino, Buchholz said, “Al did win 100 percent.”

Who did you have winning that fight”
