A ‘Very Confident’ Jon Jones Talks Potential Fights With Velasquez And Weidman

By BJPENN.COM News - February 1, 2014

“Yeah for sure [I’d like to fight Cain Velasquez], but right now I’m preparing to go into probably the toughest schedule I’ve had. Any of the next three guys, they’re monsters. That’s what I’m preparing for is getting through Glover, Gus again — and a I know a lot people wouldn’t agree that I got through him the first time — and DC. So that’s my schedule for now.”

“Dude, I think it would be phenomenal (to fight Weidman), I think it would be awesome. You know I’ve got no reason to make comments about Weidman. Everything you say up here it gets brought back to the fighters, so I don’t want to offend him. I think he’s a great guy. But I’m very confident. I’m a very confident young man, and I’ll just leave it at that.”

During yesterday’s UFC Fan Q&A, the light-heavyweight champion, Jon Jones discussed possible match ups with his neighboring champions.

Think Jones can take out Weidman or Velasquez or both?
