Rashad Evans | Team Jackson Became A Factory

By Jamie McAllister:
“That kind of pissed me off, that he had the nerve to say that I was dodging him, because I legitimately had a thumb issue that needed rehab. I got a legitimate thumb injury, I didn’t fake the thumb injury not to fight somebody”

“Before I left, before the Jon Jones thing, I did my last two camps at Grudge in Denver. Before the whole Jon Jones situation even blew up I kind of felt the tension was there so I left. But the main reason more than anything I started to leave the Jackson camp because it became like a factory. You were not getting that one on one attention, Greg completely got away from the way the way we used to be.”

“One thing that made us great was that Greg put a lot of time into us. Greg is such a caring person that he does not know how to say no to anyone. Everybody wants to come and train and he kept saying yes and yes until the team got so big and out of control that it lost that connection, lost that feeling.”

“At some point you have got to understand that you can’t take so many people from the same weight class. You have got to choose a side. Greg is an expert at trying to be impartial and trying to stay in the middle but, you have to choose a side.”

Rashad Evans comments on how training at Jackson’s changed in an interview with Fighters Only Magazine.
