UFC 161: Evans vs. Henderson Preliminary Card Results & Recap

Tonight fans will see 2 legends in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts do battle when ‘Suga’ Rashad Evans squares off with Dan Henderson, but first we tuned into FX for four preliminary fights.

Kicking off the night we have Roland Delorme vs. Edwin Figueroa. After 3 rounds of action Delorme won via unanimous decision with all three judges scoring the bout 29-28.

Next we saw Sean Pierson square off with Kenny Robertson, after a back and forth fight that was extremely close the judges scored it 29-28, 29-28, and 28-28 with Sean Pierson coming out as a majority decision winner.

Next we tuned in to see veteran Sam Stout face off with James Krause. In his UFC debut James Krause overcame the pressure to submit Sam Stout via guillotine choke at 4:47 of the final round.

Last but certainly not least fans saw two-time Strikeforce champion Jake Shields square off with ‘The chosen one’ Tyron Woodley. After a back and forth fight, Jake Shields won via split decision with the judges scoring the fight 27-30, 29-28, 29-28.
