After the recent debacle of the heavyweight title picture with Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum pulling out of their title fights, there was a rumor floating around the Internet. Rumblings were going on that heavyweight contender Stipe Miocic turned down a fight with former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones when Jones offered to go up to heavyweight and fight for a title and save the UFC 196 card.

Miocic took to Twitter to ensure everyone that he did no such thing.

Check out UFC President Dana White talk about the situation alongside former UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra who were guests on Opie Radio.

White did say that Jon Jones and current UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will be fighting later this year, but no date was mentioned.
