In the main event of Bellator 170 on January 21st, UFC veterans Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen stepped into the Bellator MMA cage for a highly anticipated showdown that had been building up steam over the course of the past several months.
Leading up to the fight, Ortiz was very open about the fact that the fight would be his last before retiring from MMA, and calling an end to a historic MMA career.
When the pair stepped into the cage Saturday night, it took Ortiz just minutes to secure a rear naked choke and submit Sonnen, picking up a win in his final MMA fight, and putting a end to what Sonnen hoped would be a successful return to MMA following a 2-year suspension for a PED infraction.
