Here is a classic clip from the past of a young Nate Diaz establishing himself in the UFC on The Ultimate Fighter series season five.

At the time, Nate Diaz was still trying to make his way into the UFC by being a part of the show led by coaches BJ Penn and Jens Pulver.

Ahead of his semi-final fight of the series against Gray Maynard, Maynard talks about Diaz being an emotional fighter. A much younger Nate Diaz responds in typical Diaz fashion and fans of the brash kid from the 209 will embrace this along with every other memorable Diaz quote.

Diaz would go on to defeat Maynard in their semi-final match by guillotine choke in the second round.

Nate Diaz would ultimately win the entire series meeting Manny Gamburyan in the final at The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale, which took place back in 2007. Diaz went on to win by TKO in the second round after Gamburyan suffered an injury to his shoulder during the bout.

Will Diaz show any emotion against the big talker Conor McGregor? Be sure to vote on the BJPENN.COM poll on who you see winning and to check the results to see who everyone else is voting for on Saturday at UFC 196.
