Former WWE champion CM Punk and his former bosses at the WWE certainly don’t get along very well. After all but being banned from the WWE, Punk signed with the UFC in 2014.
While it took almost two years for Punk, real name Phil Brooks, to step into the Octagon for the first time, he made his MMA and UFC debut earlier this year in Cleveland, Ohio. In his fight, Punk was taken down just moments into the fight, and then was eventually submitted by Mickey Gall. While he expressed a desire to return to the Octagon for another fight, UFC President Dana White initially stated that if Punk wanted another fight, he should likely look for one outside of the UFC.
While Gall went on to submit Sage Northcutt in his next UFC fight, Punk has continued to sit on the sideline as he awaits news at to whether or not he will be returning to the UFC, after talks with UFC President Dana White reportedly went well.
During a recent WWE event in Chicago, Illinois, the crowd began to chant ‘CM Punk’ due to the fact that the former WWE champ is from Chicago, Illinois.
Stephanie McMahon was quick to shut the crowd down as she took a low blow at Punk.

So far no word yet as to when, or if, Punk will return to the Octagon, however he recently stated that things were looking as if he would have another UFC fight.
Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
