All reports are pointing towards the UFC putting together a rematch between UFC veteran Nate Diaz and UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor for the main event of the highly anticipated UFC 200 event happening in July.

Diaz was a guest on the UFC Tonight show on Wednesday and spoke with Kenny Florian and Michael Bisping on why the UFC is trying to put together a rematch after he finished McGregor in the second round at UFC 196.

“You know, it’s a real fight so people want to see that fight,” Diaz said. “Obviously, it just happened, it was a real fight.”

Diaz goes on to say that there any many fighters that are playing a safe game and looking to win fights on points. That was definitely not the case in the bout between Diaz and McGregor at UFC 196 as the two went back and forth bringing everyone watching the fight to their feet.

“There’s a lot of players in this game that are playing this touch point system thing. But, when you get a real fight, I think people appreciate it and if that’s what he wants to do and that’s what the UFC wants to do, let’s run it back. Let’s do it again.

“But, if not, like, whatever you know. I’m trying to get a big fight, biggest fights possible and I’m here to fight top fighters. The best fighters in the world.”

Will we here the official announcement come from the UFC this week if Nate Diaz will in fact be fighting Conor McGregor in a non-title welterweight rematch in the main event for UFC 200? Keep up with BJPENN.COM for updates as they unfold.
