Jon Jones was able to win the UFC interim light heavyweight title by beating Ovince Saint Preux at UFC 197 in the main event over the weekend. In the process of doing so, “OSP” suffered a broken arm defending a kick from Jones in the second round.
Jones was speaking with UFC’s Megan Olivi backstage after the fight when she informed him of the injury. “Bones” was happy to hear the news and proud of the damage he was able to do with his “chicken legs.”
“Are you serious? Oh, ‘Bones’ Jones, oh little chicken legs,” the interim title holder said as he danced when he heard the news. “I’m riding off on that one, I’m about to celebrate.”
Jon Jones will now face the current champion Daniel Cormier, tentatively scheduled for the main event at UFC 200.
