What would you do in a situation where a violent customer starts fighting with a store clerk?
JacksonWink MMA fighter Saul Elizondo was right in the middle of that situation as he walked into a Circle K gas station in Albuquerque, New Mexico recently.
Elizondo walked in just as the store clerk confronted two people suspected of shoplifting. Things got ugly when the clerk tried to stop the suspects.
Elizondo immediately recognized something was wrong and saved the clerk as one of the suspects threw a punch.
“Honestly, it just happened so quickly. It was crazy,” Elizondo said to KRQE.
“As soon as he brought his hand back I just rushed the guy and caught him from behind and kind of just like took him down and took his back and controlled the situation before he would hurt the people who work there.”
The Bellator MMA bantamweight fighter moved to Albuquerque six months ago to train at JacksonWink MMA Academy.
“It felt weird training with all these monsters here and grabbing this guy here felt like grabbing a little child, like I was playing with a little kid.”
The report did not state if the suspects in the incident were arrested.
