The Candian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor appeared on stage in front of nearly 15,000 fans in attendance for the press conference to hype up the money fight between the two biggest names from boxing and mixed martial arts.

Speaking in front of the crowd before Mayweather and McGregor stepped on stage, Drake said, “I’m gonna be honest. I came here today to witness history with each and every one of you. The biggest fight in the history of fighting.”

Prior to making his appearance on stage, Drake met up with UFC President Dana White as the two were seen in episode three of Dana White’s Video Blog.

White asked Drake (starting at 4:20 of the video), “Who you got?”

“I mean, I want to see my guy, see my guy do his thing,” said the rapper stumbling around his words a bit. “That’s what I’m saying, you know who I have. That’s my guy, man. You know who I got. I don’t have to say it, a lot of cameras on, know what I’m saying?

“I like the big talker, man. The man with all the bars, you know? I had to come see my guy.”

Drake was seen meeting Conor McGregor backstage in his room as he was preparing to step on stage for the presser.

Fans of “The Notorious” may already know that the UFC lightweight champion has had some time spent with Drake in the past and is a fan of his music. Drake also apparently helped make the connection for McGregor to get a deal with Beats audio.
