On this day in MMA history 8 years ago, Conor McGregor lost the first professional fight of his MMA career at the hands of Artemis Sitenkov.

McGregor’s record fell to 2-1 with the loss, which he followed up by going on a 2-fight win streak before losing the second bout of his professional career to Joe Duffy. McGregor then bounced back from that by going on a 15 fight win streak.
