Late last month, we learned that former two-division UFC champ and bona fide MMA legend BJ Penn will be returning to the Octagon for a featherweight battle with Germany’s Dennis Siver. The fight will occur when the UFC touches Oklahoma City on June 25.

Now, we here at BJPenn.com have some exclusive footage of the legend signing the bout agreement for this fight with Siver, making it all official. That’s right, BJ Penn’s next fight is a GO! Watch “The Prodigy” put pen to paper in the video at the top of this post.

When we last saw Penn in action, he came up short in his anticipated return to the cage, succumbing to second-round strikes dealt by red hot featherweight contender Yair Rodriguez. In his next most recent fights, Penn has come up short against top-flight opposition in former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar, and welterweight greats Rory MacDonald and Nick Diaz. These fights, meanwhile, were preceded by a draw with former welterweight title challenger Jon Fitch. Penn is 16-11-2 in sum.

Siver, meanwhile, is 22-11-0 overall. The Russian-born German has not been seen in the cage since June of 2015, when he gave up a decision to recent Rizin Fighting Federation signee Tatsuya Kawajiri. Prior to that, he was knocked out by reigning UFC lightweight champ Conor McGregor.

Penn and Siver were first supposed to meet at UFC 199 last June. Regrettably, this fight was nixed due to injury.

The UFC’s June trip to Oklahoma City will be headlined by a lightweight bout between Michael Chiesa and Kevin Lee. It will also include a compelling middleweight scrap between long-time contender Tim Boetsch and former welterweight king Johny Hendricks.

Are you excited to see BJ Penn back in action? How do you think the fight will go? Sound off, PENN Nation!
