Over the last few months, there have been plenty of rumors and reports suggesting that welterweight legend Nick Diaz might soon return to the UFC’s Octagon. So far, however, none have come to fruition.

We know that he was offered a rematch with Robbie Lawler, which he turned down. We know that he was also offered a title fight with UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, which he also elected to shut down. Finally and most recently, we learned that he’s been offered a fight grappling whiz and top welterweight contender Demian Maia – though it’s not yet known if this is a big enough fight to draw him back into the fold.

Given his obvious reluctance to return to the Octagon, and the fact that he hasn’t stepped foot in it since January of 2013, it’s hard not wonder how Nick Diaz is making ends meet. Apparently, however, the Stockton, California is staying plenty busy outside the cage.

Recently, we learned that Nick and his brother Nate had launched their own Diaz Bros rolling papers. More recently still, we’ve learned that Nick has aligned himself with rolling paper company Futurola, and has even shot a commercial for them.

In this commercial, we watch some of Nick’s training footage, while he narrates with a bit of commentary on his life as a fighter. The commercial wraps up with the fan favorite fighter sparking a giant joint at the top of a mountain.

Watch it in full at the top of this post.

When we last saw Nick Diaz in action, he gave up a decision to middleweight legend Anderson Silva. Shortly after this fight, however, the result was changed to a no contest as Silva tested positive for several banned substances and Diaz tested positive for – you guessed it – marijuana.

Do you think we’ll ever see the elder Diaz brother back in the cage? Sound off, PENN Nation!
