Brian Stann: Conor McGregor has nothing to gain in Jose Aldo rematch

July 27, 2016 7:54 am by Evan Bell

At UFC 194, many expected Conor McGregor to face the toughest test of his career as he stepped into the Octagon to face featherweight kingpin Jose Aldo. Instead, McGregor ended Aldo’s reign in just 13 seconds, knocking him out with a brutal cross.

With Aldo now the interim featherweight champion, he has earned himself a rematch with McGregor after McGregor’s UFC 202 rematch with Nate Diaz. With there being no official word as to whether or not McGregor will return to featherweight, UFC commentator Brian Stann believes McGregor has nothing to gain by having a rematch with Aldo.
