UFC 198 Results: Stipe Miocic KO’s Fabricio Werdum

UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum (20-6-1 MMA) put his belt on the line for the first time tonight in the main event of UFC 198 when he squared off with top contender Stipe Miocic (15-2 MMA) in his hometown of Curitiba, Brazil.

Round one begins and Miocic opens with a leg kick. Werdum responds with a leg kick of his own. Fabricio with a front kick to the body. Nice elbow lands for Stipe. Good low kick from Werdum and another. He presses forward and lands a left hand on Miocic. Stipe with a couple of leg kicks. Werdum with a nice combination. Miocic replies with a leg kick. Werdum grabs a hold of a leg but cannot secure the takedown. Miocic with a nice right hand. Werdum with two good leg kicks. Stipe with a nice short uppercut. Good right hand from Werdum. He lands another. Miocic with a huge counter right that floors Werdum. It is all over.
