UFC 196 Results: Teruto Ishihara KO’s Julian Erosa in round 2

A featherweight tilt between Julian Erosa (15-3 MMA) and Teruto Ishihara (8-2-2 MMA) kicked off tonight’s UFC 196 event in Las Vegas.

Round one begins and Ishihara is applying some serious pressure to start. The Japanese fighter lands a solid inside leg kick on Erosa. More good leg kicks from Teruto and he follows that up with en excellent combo. Erosa is struggling to find his range. Ishihara lands another good leg kick but Erosa eats it and lands a solid front kick that actually knocks Ishihara down. Teruto bounces back up and lands a head kick followed by two solid shots on Erosa. Julian would score a late takedown to close out round one.

Round two begins and Ishihara lands a big left hook. Erosa is hurt and falls to the canvas. Ishihara follows up with some viscous ground and pound and the referee is forced to step in and call the bout.
