UFC veteran Tim Hague tragically passes away at the age of 34

Former UFC heavyweight Tim Hague passed away earlier today, this after suffering a knockout loss in a boxing match on Friday evening in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The 34-year-old Canadian, Hague, suffered a brutal second-round knockout loss to Adam Braidwood at an event promoted by KO Boxing Canada on Friday night (June 16).

Hague was immediately taken to a local Edmonton hospital following the loss where he remained in critical condition over the weekend.

Today Hague’s family issued the following statement on his sisters Facebook page notifying friends and fans that Tim had tragically passed away.

“It is with incredible sadness, sorrow and heartbreak to report that Tim has passed away today,” the statement read. “He was surrounded by family, listening to his favorite songs. We will miss him with [us] so greatly. We ask for privacy during this difficult time.”

Tim Hague went an impressive 21-13 during his mixed martial arts career which included 15 knockouts and four submission victories.

Hague made his UFC debut in 2009 where he submitted Pat Barry in the very first-round.
