Thomas Almeida predicts he will knock out Cody Garbrandt at UFC Fight Night 88

By Russell Ess - March 23, 2016

An exciting matchup between two undefeated bantamweights will take place in the main event of UFC Fight Night 88. Thomas Almeida (21-0) and Cody Garbrandt (8-0) are both looking to stay undefeated as one will likely leave the Octagon that night with a loss.

Almeida spoke with Combate (transcribed by Bloody Elbow) and says that despite Garbrandt’s unblemished record, he will come out the victor.

“Garbrandt has really good boxing, he’s very aggressive, like myself. So I believe it will be the fight of the night. We will trade shots all night. I have to be prepared in case we go for five rounds, but I believe the fight will end sooner than that, since we are both so aggressive.

“I believe I will knock him out in the second round.”

Almeida has much more experience fighting and has picked up four wins in the UFC. Garbrandt has three wins in the UFC and will look to show that although he lacks the experience Almeida has, he is still undefeated for a reason.
