Thiago Santos vs. Anthony Smith Reported for UFC Belém

A middleweight bout has been set for UFC Belém, as reported by Combate.  Thiago Santos and Anthony Smith are expected to meet on February 3rd at the Arena Guilherme Paraense in Belém, Brazil. This is the second bout that has been announced for the event after a flyweight bout between Deiveson Alcantara Figueiredo and Joseph Morales.

Santos has knocked out three opponents in a row dating back to September 2016. The 2018 fight date completes an undefeated year for Santos in the UFC and a win over Smith ties his second longest win streak.

Despite being four years younger than Santos, Smith holds 19 more professional fights than Santos. He will look to use this added experience to continue a knockout streak of his own. He, like Santos, has knocked out his last three opponents. His last victory came in September in a grueling fight against Hector Lombard.
