Dana White: Sage Northcutt wants to fight Mickey Gall

By Chris Taylor - September 11, 2016

UFC welterweight Mickey Gall improved his record to a perfect 3-0 yesterday evening in Cleveland, Ohio, this after he scored a first-round submission victory over former WWE star CM Punk (0-1 MMA) on the main card of UFC 203.

Gall secured a takedown on Punk early in round one and was then able to dominate the former WWE champion on the floor, eventually locking in a rear-naked choke submission finish.

Following his impressive victory over Brooks, Mickey Gall called out fellow UFC prospect Sage Northcutt in his post-fight interview stating the following: “I want Super Sage Northcutt next. I think that guys corny.”

Well according to Chamatkar Sadhu of MMAJunkie, Mickey Gall will get his wish, as UFC president Dana White stated that Sage Northcutt’s people have reached out to him and want the fight.

Sage Northcutt (8-1 MMA) has gone 3-1 thus far in his UFC career, scoring victories over Enrique Marin, Cody Pfister and Francisco Trevino in that time. Northcutt’s lone professional loss came at the hands of Bryan Barberena via submission at UFC on FOX 18 this past January.

Meanwhile, Mickey Gall has gone 2-0 under the UFC banner, earning first-round submission victories in both of those contests.
