According to a report from Ariel Helwani, the UFC has denied Rafael dos Anjos’ request to fight either Nate Diaz or Robbie Lawler at July’s blockbuster UFC 200 event in Las Vegas.

‘UFC Tonight’ revealed the news on Twitter:

“RDA” had stated his desire to either rematch UFC 196 winner Nate Diaz in a lightweight title fight, or move up to welterweight and have a ‘super fight’ with 170-pound kingpin Robbie Lawler on July 9.

Apparently the UFC has ‘other plans’ for the 155-pound champ. Could a lightweight title fight with former Bellator champion Eddie Alvarez be on the horizon?

Who do you think the UFC is planning to have their current lightweight champion defend his belt against at UFC 200? Sound off PENN Nation!
