Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey recently made the move to pro wrestling.

“Rowdy” appeared at the WWE’s Royal Ruble event where it was revealed that she had signed a long term deal with North America’s leading pro wrestling organization.

During a guest appearance in London, popular UFC women’s flyweight fighter Paige VanZant (7-4 MMA) was asked if she had seen Rousey’s recent performances in the WWE and what she thought of the Ronda’s career move.

“You know unfortunately I haven’t been able to see it,” VanZant told MMAnytt. “I have been so bust travelling. But I think it is amazing you know, it’s just another platform for us UFC fighters to make a name for ourselves and I know Ronda (Rousey) is going to do awesome at it. She’s going to make a name for herself in the WWE and that is something.. You know I’m a fighter first and foremost, but if an opportunity ever came knocking, I’m not one to turn opportunities down. So I think that WWE is an amazing organization and I would definitely love to work with them.”

After suffering through some grueling weight cuts while competing in the UFC’s women’s strawweight division, Paige VanZant recently made the decision to move up a weight class.

VanZant made her flyweight debut this past January in St. Louis where she dropped a unanimous decision loss to Jessica-Rose Clark, suffering a broken arm in the process.

After starting her UFC career with three straight victories, “PVZ” has since gone 1-3 over her past four fights.

VanZant’s most recent win came in August of 2016 where she scored a spectacular switch-kick knockout victory over Bec Rawlings.
