VanZant’s decision to move from MMA to BKFC, where the likelihood of her face getting cut is very high, has led to criticism from fans online, many of who believe she is making the wrong call. Her critics believe that VanZant will get cut open in BKFC which could harm her earning as an Instagram model. To those haters, VanZant has two words for them: grow up.

UFC strawweight contender Amanda Ribas believes her former opponent, Paige VanZant, will do well as a bare-knuckle fighter in BKFC. Ribas and VanZant fought in the Octagon in July, 2020, with the former winning by submission. The fight marked the final obligation on VanZant’s UFC contract. After a period of free agency, she signed with BKFC, and is slated to debut against Britain Hart on February 5.

Bec Rawlings says she would “love” to fight former UFC rival Paige VanZant again, admitting she believes PVZ will “take a beating” in BKFC. Rawlings and VanZant first met back in August 2016 at UFC Fight Night: Maia vs. Condit in Vancouver, Canada. In that fight, VanZant landed a brutal switch kick right on that button that knocked Rawlings out. Rawlings ended up fighting three more times in the UFC and lost those fights before being cut. Rawlings has since fought for Bellator, where she has gone 1-1, and for BKFC, where she is a perfect 3-0. BKFC, of course, is the new home of her rival VanZant, and Rawlings isn’t liking her chances in bare-knuckle fighting.
