Julianna Pena vs. Amanda Nunes 2 betting odds released

Adam Martin - December 12, 2021

The opening betting odds have been released for a potential rematch between UFC women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Pena and Amanda Nunes. Pena shocked the world on Saturday night at UFC 269 when she was able to finish Nunes in the second round via a rear-naked choke. It was one of the biggest upsets of all time in MMA history as Nunes was a -1000 betting favorite to win the fight, with Pena as a +600 betting underdog. For Pena, the fact that she was able to defeat one of the GOATs in Nunes and do so by stoppage has to be one of the craziest things we have ever seen in the UFC.

While it has been a tough year for Maverick, she continues to hold her head high and keep looking on towards the future of her MMA career.

Ryan Hall releases statement following much-needed victory over Darrick Minner at UFC 269

Adam Martin - December 12, 2021

UFC featherweight fighter Ryan Hall released a statement following his much-needed victory over Darrick Minner at UFC 269. Hall entered this fight against Minner, a fellow grappler, coming off of an absolutely brutal KO loss to Ilia Topuria earlier this year at UFC 264. For Hall, he was unbeaten in the UFC heading into that Topuria fight, which really stalled his momentum in the stacked UFC featherweight division. But for Hall, he was looking forward to getting back into the Octagon and righting those wrongs, and he got to do that on Saturday against Minner.

Kai Kara-France reacts after knocking out Cody Garbrandt at UFC 269

Adam Martin - December 12, 2021

UFC flyweight contender Kai Kara-France reacted after brutally knocking out former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt at UFC 269. Kara-France entered the fight as the underdog despite being much more proven in the UFC flyweight division. As Garbrandt is a former UFC champ, he got the respect of coming into this fight as a small betting favorite. However, it was apparent quickly that the odds were wrong and that this was Kara-France’s fight to lose. Needed just one round to get the job done, Kara-France dropped Garbrandt twice with punches before finishing him via TKO.
