UFC heavyweight contender Jairzinho Rozenstruik doesn’t like the idea of Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic. The two former champions are rumored for an interim title fight later this year. With Francis Ngannou on the shelf due to injury, and possibly leaving the UFC, the promotion has settled on making an interim championship. Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic seem to be the leading contenders for the interim bout.

ONE Championship lightweight Sage Northcutt is targeting a return against former champion Shinya Aoki. ‘Super Sage’ has been out of action for over three years. In May 2019, Northcutt faced off against Cosmo Alexandre in his debut for ONE Championship. He wound up losing the fight via a brutal first-round knockout.

Mike Tyson has given some advice to Conor McGregor on who he should fight next. McGregor is currently on a two-fight losing streak after suffering back-to-back losses to Dustin Poirier. ‘Notorious’ and ‘The Diamond’ had their highly anticipated trilogy fight at UFC 264 in July of 2021, where the Irishman suffered a broken leg. Since then, he has been rehabbing and it’s expected he will return sometime by the end of this year or early next, but his next opponent remains uncertain.

Chael Sonnen seemingly agrees with TJ Dillashaw’s criticism of UFC rival Cody Garbrandt. TJ Dillashaw has met Cody Garbrandt in the Octagon twice. In November of 2017 at UFC 217 Dillashaw (18-4 MMA) defeated Garbrandt (12-5 MMA) with a second round knockout, reclaiming his UFC Bantamweight Championship. Meeting again in August of 2018 at UFC 227, the result was much the same, Dillashaw finished Garbrandt via first round TKO, defending his crown.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan has shared his thoughts concerning the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard verdict. It was Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard in a defamation trial in Fairfax County, Virginia, which began on April 11 and ended on June 1, 2022. Plaintiff Johnny Depp alleged three counts of defamation against defendant Amber Heard, claiming $50 million US in damages. Heard, pursued a $100 million defamation countersuit against her ex-husband, Depp.

Dustin Poirier is speaking out about how it sucked to see Nick Diaz look like a shadow of his former self at UFC 266. It was Nick Diaz (26-10 MMA) vs Robbie Lawler (29-15 MMA) in the middleweight bout back in September of 2021 at UFC 266 in Paradise, Nevada. The outcome was Lawler defeating Diaz with a third round TKO.

Henry Cejudo has blasted Aljamain Sterling as he claims the reigning UFC bantamweight champion is ducking him. After Sterling became the bantamweight champ he hinted at a matchup with Cejudo and that talk only increased after ‘Triple C’ announced he was back in the USADA testing pool. However, after Cejudo and Sterling did a face-to-face sit down on Daniel Cormier’s YouTube channel ‘Triple C’ claims ‘Funkmaster’ stopped bringing up his name for a reason.

UFC heavyweight contender Tom Aspinall has responded to Chael Sonnen’s criticism of his promotional skills. The 29-year-old is one of the fastest-rising fighters in the UFC’s heavyweight division. Having been signed to the promotion in 2020, he’s scored five wins inside the octagon. Aspinall was last seen submitting Alexander Volkov in March at UFC London.

UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal is willing to fight Michel Pereira. However, not in the cage. The Brazilian is fresh off a victory over Santiago Ponzinibbio last month at UFC Vegas 55. Following the bout, Pereira called out Jorge Masvidal for a showdown in the future. The source of the callout was the Brazilian alleging that ‘Gamebred’ messaged his wife on Instagram.

UFC bantamweight contender Marlon Vera believes the UFC is giving Sean O’Malley favorable matchmaking. ‘Chito’ and ‘Sugar’ are now strangers to each other in the octagon. The two faced off at UFC 252, with Vera picking up the win via first-round TKO. The bout was stopped after O’Malley injured his leg near the end of the round.

Dustin Poirier believes Charles Oliveira could have done more to make weight at UFC 274. Charles Oliveira (33-8 MMA) was forced to vacate his lightweight belt after he missed the 155 pound mark by 1/2 a pound at weigh-ins prior to his UFC 274 title fight against Justin Gaethje (23-4 MMA). The Arizona commission did give the Brazilian an extra hour to bring down his weight, but Oliveira was unsuccessful in doing so. While the fight went on and Oliveira defeated Gaethje in Round 1 on May 7th, the championship title was no longer his.
