UFC welterweight contender Vicente Luque reiterated his callout of Nate Diaz for an upcoming December UFC card, saying “I want the challenge.” Luque called out Diaz following his submission win over Michael Chiesa at UFC 265 back in August, and Luque and Diaz have gone back-and-forth on social media over the last few months. Right now, it seems like the UFC is more interested in booking Diaz against Khamzat Chimaev, but if you ask Luque, this is still the fight that he hopes the UFC books.

Emerging UFC welterweight contender Khamzat Chimaev sent a message to promotional superstar Nate Diaz, simply stating “let’s go bro.” Chimaev smashed Li Jingliang in the first round and tapped him out with a tight rear-naked choke at this past Saturday’s UFC 267 event. It was another phenomenal victory for Chimaev, who improved to 4-0 in the UFC with four finishes. He has been so utterly dominant that he has actually only been hit with one significant strike, by John Phillips in his UFC debut on Fight Island last year. Since then, all three of Rhys McKee, Gerald Meerschaert, and now Jingliang were not able to mount any sort of offense against him.

UFC president Dana White confirmed that the UFC will speak to Nate Diaz about fighting emerging welterweight contender Khamzat Chimaev. Chimaev is coming off of an incredible first-round submission win over Li Jingliang at UFC 267 that improved his pro record to 10-0, including a 4-0 record in the UFC. Incredibly, Chimaev has only been hit with one significant strike through four fights in the Octagon, as he’s completely run through everyone in his path. It has been a phenomenal start to Chimaev’s UFC career, and it looks like the promotion is now considering putting him on the fast-track to superstardom by matching him up against one of the UFC’s biggest names.

Khamzat Chimaev has issued a challenge to Nate Diaz following his impressive submission victory over Li Jingliang at today’s UFC 267 event. Chimaev (10-0 MMA) was returning to action for the first time since September of 2020, where he scored a sensational 18-second knockout win over Gerald Meerschaert (see that here). ‘Borz’ had gone a perfect 3-0 in his UFC career prior to today’s event, earning all three wins by way of stoppage.

Diaz is one of the biggest superstars in MMA and he has one final fight left on his UFC contract. Over the past few months, we have seen Diaz take to social media to try and score fights with the likes of Dustin Poirier and Vicente Luque, to name a few, but so far the UFC hasn’t booked him for his next fight yet. With Diaz having just one fight left on his current UFC contract, it is important to both the promotion and the fighter that they select the right opponent for Diaz in what could potentially be the final fight of his UFC career.

The setback marked Nate’s second in a row and put him on the final fight of his current contract with the UFC.

The opening betting odds have been released for potential fights between Conor McGregor vs. Tony Ferguson and Nate Diaz vs. Tony Ferguson. Over the past week, we have seen Ferguson call out McGregor and then Diaz call out Ferguson. They are three of the biggest names in the sport and there has been plenty of fan interest regarding these potential matchups ever since they were discussed. Although there is no evidence to suggest that the UFC will be booking either fight next, that hasn’t stopped the sportsbooks from opening up the betting odds for these two future fights. Nate Diaz has chimed in after his longtime rival Conor McGregor suggested he would end Tony Ferguson’s life in a potential fight. Earlier this evening McGregor and Ferguson exchanged shots on social media. ‘El Cucuy’ accused the Irishman of taking HGH while slamming Conor for attacking civilians.

UFC welterweight contender Nate Diaz conveyed his interest in fighting Tony Ferguson by sharing a photo of him on his social media. Ferguson this week conveyed his own interest in fighting the UFC superstar Conor McGregor, but it appears as though Diaz wants in on the action instead. Diaz has made it clear over the last few months that he wants to get back into the Octagon very soon after his decision loss to Leon Edwards back in June at UFC 263. Diaz has been connected to a welterweight contest against Vicente Luque in recent weeks but the fight has not been booked yet. With the Luque fight not getting done, it appears as though Diaz could be ready to move on and fight someone else, and that potentially could be against Ferguson.

UFC superstar Conor McGregor sent a message to his longtime rival Nate Diaz on social media, reminding him to “know who made you.” McGregor and Diaz fought twice back in 2016. In their first meeting at UFC 196 in March 2016, Diaz pulled off an incredible upset when he submitted McGregor in the second round. In the rematch at UFC 202 in August 2016, McGregor got revenge when he won a majority decision in what was an all-out war between the two rivals. In the five years since then, we have been rumored to get a trilogy fight at points, but so far we haven’t seen it. That being said, both McGregor and Diaz still continue to take shots at each other on social media.

For a few weeks now we’ve seen both Luque and Diaz hinting, and outright confirming, that they want to meet in what would be a huge welterweight showdown to end the year for the UFC.

UFC welterweight contender Vicente Luque still wants to fight Nate Diaz in December, saying that “I know Nate wants it, as well.” Luque is one of the top welterweight contenders in the UFC right now, and following his win over Michael Chiesa at UFC 265, he called Diaz out for a fight. Diaz appears to be interested in the matchup as well, but up to this point, the UFC has not booked the fight. However, Luque is still holding out hope that the UFC is open to booking this matchup.

UFC welterweight fan favorite Niko Price says he is open to fighting either Nick Diaz or Nate Diaz following his latest win at UFC Vegas 38. Price won a unanimous decision over Alex Oliveira in a main card welterweight battle that took place at this past Saturday’s UFC Vegas 38 card. For Price, it was a much-needed win after going winless in his last three fights entering the contest. Following the fight, the fan favorite spoke to reporters and was asked who he wants to fight next. As far as Price goes, he’s down for another exciting fight for the fans, and he feels the Diaz brothers are perfect.

Luque (21-7-1 MMA) is currently the hottest fighter in the promotions welterweight division, having won four-straights fights all by way of stoppage. ‘The Silent Assassin’ has earned back-to-back first round submission victories over Tyron Woodley and Michael Chiesa in his most recent efforts.

UFC lightweight Dan Hooker opened up on a potential scrap with Nate Diaz, saying “it’s definitely not a difficult fight for him to get.” Hooker is coming off of a unanimous decision win over Nasrat Haqparast at UFC 266 this past Saturday night in Las Vegas, a win that snapped a two-fight losing skid for “The Hangman.” Now that Hooker is back in the win column, he knows that he can start calling out higher-ranked fighters and bigger-name fighters, and it doesn’t get much bigger than Diaz. Following his big win over Haqparast last weekend, Hooker said that he’s open to fighting Diaz and that all the Stockton native has to do is simply request the fight.

Nate Diaz still believes his old brother to be “The Goat”, this despite Nick losing his recent rematch with Robbie Lawler at UFC 266. Nick Diaz (26-10 MMA) ended a six year hiatus on Saturday when he returned to the Octagon for a middleweight bout with former opponent Robbie Lawler. The pair had originally collided 17 years ago at UFC 47, with the Stockton Slugger emerging victorious by way of second round knockout.

Nick Diaz (26-10 MMA) returned to the Octagon yesterday evening following a six year hiatus from the sport. Standing in the way of the former Strikeforce champion was former opponent Robbie Lawler.
