Nate Diaz has not fought since August of last year when he and Conor McGregor clashed in their thrilling rematch at UFC 202. Although it was a close fight after five rounds of war, McGregor walked out of the Octagon with a majority decision win.

Diaz has been sitting on the sidelines since his two huge paydays with fighting McGregor and is simply waiting for another fight that will be worth it for him to step back into the Octagon. Diaz stated that he accepted a fight against Tony Ferguson on certain conditions but never ever heard back from the UFC following his counter in negotiation. With all the talk of the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor boxing match, perhaps the winner of that mega fight is the one Diaz is waiting to cash in on.

“If Floyd beats Conor, who the f*ck gives a sh*t?” Diaz said on his MMA Hour special on Wednesday (as transcribed by Marc Raimondi of MMA Fighting). “I already whipped Conor’s ass. So you beat the guy I beat up. If Conor beats Floyd, then the guy whose ass I whipped just beat Floyd Mayweather. And it’s great. So I’m calling their bluff. Make the fight happen already, let’s see this sh*t pop off. I’m ready to see something go. I got winner, if anything.”

Diaz also recalled when Floyd Mayweather called him over FaceTime and says he was at first hesitant about being friendly with the undefeated boxer but realized he was talking to a legend that deserved respect.

“I was thinking like that, f*ck this dude,” Diaz said. “He’s getting in a fight with McGregor, they’re gonna make all this money. Like I don’t mean to be a hater, but f*ck them I wanted to fight these mother f*ckers. I was thinking of being like, ‘F*ck you, mother f*cker. What the f*ck are you calling me for?’ I was thinking about hanging up quick. But then when I’m talking to him, I’m like that’s Floyd Mayweather. I have respect for the man. I’m a f*cking martial artist. That guy is the best at what he does. And has been proving it for years.”
