The first official booking for the UFC’s first ever trip to Calgary, Alberta, Canada has been made in the form of a bantamweight bout between Bryan Caraway and Mitch Gagnon.

UFC 149 is set to take place from Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome on July 21. In the main event featherweight champion Jose Aldo is expected to defend his title against a yet to be named challenger.

Caraway is an “Ultimate Fighter” season 14 semi-finalist who is now probably best known as the man who Strikeforce bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey would like to get her hands on. The boyfriend of Miesha Tate was very vocal in his desires to beat the female champ up through twitter.

All that aside, Caraway boasts an impressive record and has won 12 of his last fifteen bouts. He last saw action submitting Dustin Neace on “The Ultimate Fighter” season 14 finale.

Gagnon will fight for the first time in the UFC and brings in a six-fight win streak to his debut. He has only been defeated once and that was back in 2009 when he faced off against Bellator fighter, William Romero.
