Bisping says he’s training again starting on Monday… Could it be for UFC 206?

UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping is set to resume training on Monday for what could be a slot on UFC 206 in Toronto, following a revealing tweet and Instagram photo.

Bisping tweeted a simple but direct:

The link is of a photo of some heavy bags, and coupled with recent reports of Bisping possibly taking on Nick Diaz at UFC 206 in Toronto on December 10, this tweet about resuming training on Monday could confirm said reports and that he will in fact be on the card.

If Bisping takes the fight and begins training on Monday, he would be just two months removed from his UFC 204 title fight against Dan Henderson last month.

Bisping took a controversial decision victory after suffering two knock downs early in the fight, but survived and out-worked Hendo to win the fight.

With rumors dashed of a fight between “The Count” Bisping and former UFC welterweight champion Georges Saint Pierre, the middleweight champ has set his sights on Nick Diaz for Diaz’s first fight back since his suspension.

Diaz hasn’t stepped foot into the octagon since January 2015, when he dropped a decision loss to former middleweight champ Anderson Silva at UFC 183. That result was eventually overturned to a no contest after both men failed their pre/post fight drug screenings.

Silva tested positive for a steroid while Diaz failed for marijuana, his second offense.

Prior to Bisping’s grueling rematch with Hendo in October, the longtime British UFC middleweight knocked out former champ Luke Rockhold at UFC 199.

If Bisping’s tweet is any indication, he may be gearing up to start a training camp for UFC 206 next month.

What do you think Bisping’s social media posts mean? Does his posting a photo of a heavy bag and returning to training on Monday mean Bisping might be preparing for UFC 206? Sound off, PENN Nation!
