UFC welterweight contender Matt Brown suffered a third-round submission loss to Demian Maia in the headlining bout of yesterday’s UFC 198 prelims in Curitiba, Brazil.

During his walkout to the octagon, Brown was grabbed and hit by fans in attendance which understandably caused him to get angry.

According to a report from former UFC fighter Brian Stann, things got even worse for Brown following last night’s event, as “The Immortal” was attacked inside his hotel.

Apparently the man who assaulted Brown inside of the hotel was an ‘old coach’ who carried with him a serious grudge.

Brown’s attacker was taken away by security.

Following his submission loss to Demian Maia at last night’s UFC 198 event, who would you like to see Matt Brown fight next? Sound off PENN Nation!
