Luke Rockhold returns at UFC Fight Night 116

Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold apparently has not been in the gym lately.

Rockhold revealed through his social media that he has been injured and is doing treatment to get recovered and back to training.

Rockhold said in his Instagram video post of a needle going into his leg, “Incase you’re wondering why I haven’t been in the gym lately. What was a grade two MCL sprain turned into a grade three somewhere in the process of my last training camp. I’m doing what I can to avoid surgery and get healthy. I had a stem cell procedure done a week and a half ago. Hoping to get back to training in 3-4 weeks. There’s nothing I want more then to get back in the gym, get back in the cage and get my belt back.”

Luke Rockhold lost the UFC middleweight title to Michael Bisping in his last fight at UFC 199. Rockhold does not currently have a fight lined up, which gives him time to recover from his injury.
