Jose Aldo’s advice to his younger self

By bjpenndotcom - May 13, 2016

Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo, who is currently gearing up for his UFC 200 interim featherweight title fight against Frankie Edgar, has a well documented love of soccer.

Aldo’s soccer skills have even show throughout his MMA career when it comes to battering the legs of his opponents with leg kicks. Ahead of the release of his biopic, Mais forte que o mundo – A historia de Jose Aldo (Stronger than the world – the story of Jose Aldo), Aldo spoke with MMA Uno to discuss what advice he would give to his younger self.

BloodyElbow has the translation of Aldo joking around:

“Maybe instead of a fighter, I would tell him to become a soccer player.”

Maybe after Aldo’s fighting days are up, we could see the former champ playing competitive soccer!
