Jessica Andrade is not happy with Amanda Nunes, hopes to take it out on Nina Ansaroff

Late last month, dangerous strawweight contender Jessica Andrade picked up a close but impressive win over Tecia Torres. While this victory is now in the rear-view it created a lingering issue for Andrade that she feels needs to be settled.

During the fight, Andrade says, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes – a fellow Brazilian – was actively cheering Torres on from cage-side. This didn’t go over well with Andrade, who is now keen to take her gripes out on Nunes’ girlfriend Nina Ansaroff in the future.

“I could see Amanda cheering for Tecia, in English, during my fight.” Jessica told AG Fight (via BloodyElbow). “She was yelling the whole fight. If you’re going to cheer against someone from your own country, at least contain yourself. Her woman is in my weight class, maybe we’ll meet some time and maybe I’ll take it out on her.”

Because Andrade fights two weight classes below Nunes, it’s unlikely that she’ll ever have the chance to get in the cage and settle her issues with her. So, she’s hoping women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg can handle it for her.

“I think Amanda got ahead of herself when she asked for the Cyborg fight,” Andrade said. “I was pissed off when I heard about it. I’m huge fan of Cris’. It’s horrible to have two Brazilians fighting each other, but it’ll be good for Amanda to have her ass kicked and be put back in her place by Cris.”

Cyborg, who mauled an outmatched Yana Kunitskaya to a first-round TKO last weekend, has repeatedly called for a bout with Nunes of late, and UFC President Dana White seems to be on board with this plan.

“I think I will,” White told the media after Cyborg’s dominant UFC 222 wins. “I mean, she just fought, so once the adrenaline goes down, she’s got to get checked out and make sure she’s 100%. And I just think her and Nunes is the fight that needs to happen.”
