MMA Community reacts to tonight’s Bellator 198 Frank Mir vs. Fedor Emelianenko fight!

Fedor Emelianenko

Legendary mixed martial arts heavyweight fighters and former world champions Frank Mir and Fedor Emelianenko squared off in the headliner of tonight’s Bellator 198 event with the winner moving on in Bellator’s Heavyweight Grand Prix Tournament to face Chael Sonnen.

Although the fight only went 49 seconds it was absolutely amazing while it lasted.

Mir appeared to rock Fedor with an early combination but “The Last Emperor” was able to recover and score a judo throw that sent Frank crashing to canvas.

Mir would scramble back to his feet and was greeted with a few knees in the clinch from Fedor for his efforts.

Once the fighters eventually broke free from the clinch position Fedor was able to catch Mir with a beautifully timed uppercut that sent Frank to the floor. From there, Fedor would move in and unleash some ground and pound which promoted the referee to step in and call a stop to the contest.
