Eddie Alvarez stops Rafael dos Anjos, wins lightweight championship

In the main event of ‘UFC Fight Night: 90’ MMA veteran Eddie Alvarez finally accomplished his dream of capturing a UFC lightweight championship.

Alvarez landed big blows in the first round that dropped dos Anjos, after a scramble, dos Anjos made it back to his feet. Alvarez then landed some big blows and finished dos Anjos in the first round via TKO to win the lightweight championship!

After 13 years in the sport, Eddie Alvarez is now the UFC lightweight champion!
