Social media can bring a ton of attention to certain incidents or events both good and bad.

In this case, UFC light heavyweight Ed Herman shared a photo to social media of an injury that is just plain bad.

Herman apparently suffered an injury to his finger where part of it ripped off.

Herman said in the caption of his photo, “Ripped the tip of my finger off today f*** when it rains it pours baby #pain #blood #bone #ouch.”

It’s unclear how the injury occurred as Herman did not state it in his post. It’s a surprise that the UFC veteran was even able to post the photo and write the caption as you can imagine the immense amount of pain “Short Fuse” was going through.

Herman last fought in July at The Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale where he lost a unanimous decision to C.B. Dollaway. Herman has since been out of competition after getting work done on an injured ACL, which has been an issue for him in the past.

Herman posted a photo just a day ago doing some training with the caption saying, “Getting it done with Sanatan @evolution_healthcare_fitness #BFR #bloodflowrestriction #feeltheburn #mma #training 4weeks out of ACL repair be back in the cage in 10-11 months !!”

Herman also posted a photo on August 9, which was apparently the day of his ACL surgery. With the new injury to his finger, it will surely take some time to heal but hopefully will not set back his timeline of getting back to fighting in a year.
