Champions do champion things. And Cris Cyborg continued to show why she’s a champion in and out of the cage recently when she went to visit Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles, where she brought 222 In & Out Burgers to the homeless that occupied the area.

Why 222 you ask? Well, Cyborg’s last fight happened to come at UFC 222 when she defended her UFC featherweight title for the second consecutive time by defeating Invicta FC bantamweight champion, Yana Kunitskaya. Cyborg only needed one round to pound out the Russian in her usual fight winning fashion. The win was Cyborg’s twentieth of her career and seventeenth by knockout.

After the win, many have been left with wondering what may be next for Cyborg and all signs point in the direction of the highest interest being in a super fight with UFC bantamweight champion, Amanda Nunes.

This fight has been on the minds of most since Cyborg’s win over former 135-pound champ, Holly Holm at UFC 219 in December. It even got to the point of negotiation but nothing has yet to have come of it…other than different fights for each fighter.

Cyborg initially was wanting to defend her title against a featherweight coming off a win before taking on Nunes. Instead, the opportunity arose for her to save the UFC 222 card by defending against Kunitskaya thus putting a brief halt in the super fight negotiations.

Nunes would then get booked to defend her title against Raquel Pennington at UFC 224 in Brazil on May 12th. Each champion has still expressed interest in the fight and perhaps if Nunes can defeat Pennington it will in fact be what’s next. The only issue will be deciding when as Cyborg has been very vocal about wanting the fight to happen on the big UFC 226 card for international fight week.
