UFC President Dana White and current women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg have not always had the best relationship and that is putting things lightly.

With that said, it appears as if the brash UFC boss and the Brazilian bomber have finally squashed their beef.

Speaking at last night’s UFC 222 press conference, Cris Cyborg told reporters “I just shook Dana White’s hand, we are friends now.”

Dana White would echo Cyborg’s comments later that evening when he was asked about the current status of his relationship with the promotions women’s featherweight title holder “Yeah, her and I are in a good position. A very good position relationship wise. She’s a beast.”

Dana’s most recent comments are a far cry from some of his previous controversial statements regarding Cyborg, where he described the UFC women’s featherweight champion as looking like “Wanderlei Silva in a dress and heels”.

Cris Cyborg improved her professional mixed martial arts record to an amazing 20-1 at last night’s UFC 222 event in Las Vegas defeating Yana Kunitskaya via first-round TKO.

Since joining the UFC ranks at UFC 198 in May of 2016, Cyborg has gone a perfect 5-0 which includes four knockout victories.

Cris Cyborg’s lone decision win came at UFC 219 where she defeated former women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm.

Cyborg now has her sights set on a super-fight with current UFC women’s bantamweight title holder Amanda Nunes, which she hopes will happen at July’s UFC 226 event.

Who do you think will emerge victorious if Cris Cyborg and Amanda Nunes square off in a super-fight later this year? Sound off PENN Nation!
