UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz shut the UFC 202 press conference down early on Wednesday in Las Vegas, Nevada.

McGregor spoke about the incident after water bottles were thrown and threats were made between the Irishman and Team Diaz.

McGregor said smugly, “It was all in self-defense. I was scared for my life.”

When asked if he was serious, Conor said simply without any emotion, “no” and even acknowledged that the whole incident could have been staged by Nate Diaz and his team.
