2016 has been a banner year for fun fights. The year gave us Robbie Lawler vs. Carlos Condit. It gave us Cub Swanson vs. Doo Ho Choi. It gave us Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz 2, Michael Bisping vs. Anderson Silva, Marco Polo Reyes vs. Dong Hyun Kim, Steve Bossé vs. Sean O’Connell, and so many other unforgettable wars. Yet there’s a whole lot more to remember about the year 2016 than the violence it provided alone.

The past year has also been an incredible one for trash talk, as some of the sport’s best mouthpieces delivered some absolute gems on the mic.

Over the course of their two memorable 2016 wars, we were treated to some unforgettable lines from Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz. In the buildup to his fights with Anderson Silva, Luke Rockhold and Dan Henderson, England’s Michael Bisping delivered plenty of venomous lines of his own. UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz, who is quickly establishing himself as one of the sport’s best trash talkers, also produced some incredible moments on the mic. The list goes on and on.

As this unforgettable year of mixed martial arts winds down, the UFC has released a short compilation of the best trash talking moments of the year.
