Will we ever get to see the Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz trilogy fight?

With “The Notorious” slated to take on Eddie Alvarez for the UFC lightweight title next at UFC 205, which takes place on November 12, there is a possibility we see the trilogy fight take place for the UFC lightweight title. McGregor even mentioned the potential lightweight title fight against Diaz in a recent interview with The LAD Bible. McGregor said, “there could be a potential fight maybe down the line for the lightweight belt after I win this one.” This all depends on if “The Notorious” can come out with his hand raised over Alvarez at UFC 205.

Nate Diaz surely likes the idea of another bout with McGregor as it seems to be the only fight on his mind. Diaz sent out a social media post recently with a photo of himself that was simply captioned “2-0.”

Diaz believes that he won both of the bouts against McGregor.

Their first meeting at UFC 196 was decisive as the Stockton scrapper was able to submit his UFC superstar rival in the second round of their UFC 196 match. In their second fight, the two pay-per-view kings battled in an exciting back-and-forth scrap that went the distance. After five rounds of UFC 202 McGregor and Diaz war, the judges gave a majority decision in favor of Conor McGregor.

Although Nate’s face was cut and bruised up from the strikes of McGregor, the Irish star was seen walking backstage to his locker room on crutches while Diaz proudly vaped a CBD oil pen during the post-fight press conference.
