The man known as ‘Mystic Mac’ has never been shy over predicting the method and minute in which he will end a fight. And for eight out of nine UFC fights he accurately predicted, it’s safe to say that Conor McGregor has earned the ‘Mystic Mac’ moniker.

McGregor (20-3), who was just announced as lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez’s first title defense at the UFC’s historic first event in New York, did not hold back when asked about how the fight will go down during Tuesday’s press conference.

“I have nothing against Edward,” McGregor said as Alvarez interjected.

“Careful,” the lightweight champ warned.

“Or what?!” McGregor exclaimed. “Shut your f****** mouth! I run New York. I run this whole shit!”

“And I’m gonna knock you out inside one round,” ‘Mystic Mac’ predicted.

Predicting the outcomes of his fights  has become a staple for any Conor McGregor scrap, his most notable prediction occurred following his 13-second knockout over longtime featherweight champ Jose Aldo. ‘Mystic Mac’ even predicted the exact type of punch he would use to end Aldo’s reign at 145 pounds, and sure enough his left hook did the trick.

The lone outlier to McGregor’s clairvoyant predictions was his first bout with Nate Diaz, who submitted the Irishman in the second round of their UFC 196 main event fight. However, ‘Mystic Mac’ corrected his prediction record and evened the score with Diaz at UFC 202.

Meanwhile, Alvarez is coming off of an improbable first round TKO of former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. His UFC 205 fight with McGregor will be his first title defense, as well as ‘Mystic Mac’s’ first time fighting at 155 pounds in the octagon.
