The promotional battle between UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather also interestingly involves UFC President Dana White.

Recently, White, who has McGregor under contract with the UFC made Mayweather an offer of $25 million to fight McGregor with a split of pay-per-view buys to be negotiated.

Mayweather laughed at White’s offer and explained recently that the last time he took a fight for a guaranteed $25 million was 10 years ago. Mayweather added that he made around $25 million just in sponsorship dollars the week of his bout against Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather then brought up his history with White, who he says used to carry his bags around when he was in the boxing business prior to building the UFC to what it is today. Mayweather stated that he was supportive of White and even wore a patch on his fight shorts supporting White’s former business but says the UFC President turned into a “tough guy” when he shaved his head bald.

Mayweather also planted a thought that will surely get Conor McGregor’s money-making mind working.

“All I gotta say is this,” Mayweather started off. “Why every time Conor McGregor go out there and fight, Dana White is still an employee and Dana White makes more money than Conor McGregor when McGregor go out there and fight?

“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m signing off. It’s all about Mayweather promotions,” as he walked off with a smile.

White is surely still bringing in the cash still working as the President of the company even after he made around $360 million when Zuffa was sold to WME-IMG for $4 billion.

Will Floyd Mayweather’s simple question eat at Conor McGregor enough to try and change things up for the UFC’s biggest draw? Let’s hear what you have to say! Share your thoughts with us in the comment section!
