Conor McGregor releases statement following new sponsorship from ‘Beats’

UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor has been absent from the Octagon since his November win over Eddie Alvarez to claim the UFC lightweight title and cement his place in UFC history as a two-division champion.

Despite not being active in the Octagon, McGreogor has continued to keep his name in headlines as developments regarding a boxing superfight with Floyd Mayweather have continued to progress.

McGregor took to Instagram to share his latest bit of exciting news, a sponsorship from popular headphone company Beats.

McGregor is of course enjoying fatherhood following the recent birth of his son Jack. With that being said, the lightweight champion’s name has continued to remain in headlines due to his potential boxing superfight with Floyd Mayweather becoming more and more realistic.

With McGregor’s side of the deal done, UFC President Dana White now moves onto negotiating with Mayweather’s team to negotiate Mayweather’s half of a potential boxing deal. While that of course could likely prove to be a harder task than expected, all signs currently point towards both parties moving in a positive direction in regards to negotiations.

In the meantime, McGregor is likely more than okay enjoying time with his newborn son while the details regarding the potential fight are figured out.
