UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor recently linked up with superstar soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo.

The two had a classic faceoff in the Octagon while Ronaldo visited McGregor at his gym in Las Vegas where he has been training recently for his rematch with Nate Diaz.

McGregor posted another photo with Ronaldo and said, “My brother Ronaldo dropped by the gym today! He is an animal. Thank you @cristiano, much respect! I will see you for that Forbes number 1 spot next year. #ThisIsTheMacLife”

McGregor made ‘Forbes 100 highest paid athletes’ earlier this year and ranked at #85 and is apparently gunning to beat Ronaldo who holds the number one spot.

For comparison, McGregor’s listed income in the Forbes ranking came in at $18 million and will have some catching up to do with Ronaldo bringing in more than every other athlete in the world with $88 million.
