UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor took center stage at today’s UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas.

“Mystic Mac” headlined the second consecutive media day for his upcoming super fight with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather – who had been featured yesterday evening from his own gym in Sin City.

In addition to putting on an open workout (watch those videos here), the UFC’s current lightweight champion of the world also took time to speak with members of the media.

The Irish superstar touched on a number of different topics, including why he had passed on training with current WBO Super Featherweight Champion Vasyl Lomachenko.

In addition to that, “The Notorious” one discussed what his camp was like in preparation for his upcoming showdown with “Money” Mayweather.

“We’ve had a referee for every single one. These have not been spars. They have been contests.” – Conor McGregor on sparring for Mayweather.

Conor also addressed the possibility of the fight being contested with 8 ounce gloves.

“If we go 8 ounces, he won’t last two rounds!” – Conor McGregor

He continued:

“If we’re 8 ounces, I am struggling to give him two rounds.” – Conor McGregor

When McGregor was asked what he thought after watching Floyd’s media day open workout he responded with the following.

“I see a beaten man in his eyes.” – Conor McGregor

Here is a clip of Conor McGregor detailing what will happen if his fight with Mayweather takes place using 8 ounce gloves.

“Mystic Mac” and “Money” will throw down in the squared circle on August 26 live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
